Great flair of being organized and efficient. I would recommend it to anyone who plan to have a successful event and worry-free. Fortune events ensured me that we didn’t have to worry about anything on the day of the wedding and I knew I was in great hands when we first talk. Our day was perfect because of Fortune Events.

Our wedding planners Fortune Events were very helpful in the process of planning our wedding! The vendors they suggested did a great job, especially the florist. I didn’t even go to the flower shop myself because I was busy, and the flower turned out to be better than I had imagined! They speak both Mandarin and English, which was very helpful for a wedding mixed with Chinese and Canadian. Most importantly, Julia really understood what kind of atmosphere we wanted for the ceremony, and she showed great interpersonal skills in negotiating with our marriage commissioner who almost turned our wedding rehearsal into a big show. It was such a great help to have them plan and organize the wedding.

We were so happy with how our day turned out, and we couldn’t have done it without you! Thank you so much Julia and Francis. We hired Fortune Events for “day of coordination” for our wedding. I loved having a coordinator because I was able to relax 100% on day of that everything was in order. Julia and Francis did an amazing job of asking me about 113 questions (lol) to make sure they knew every single detail for the wedding day. This put me at ease more than I could express to trust that everything I had planned for the past year would flow! I was able to relax and enjoy the wedding knowing that the coordinators were capable and knowledgeable. It was the most amazing feeling in the world to trust that the day of would flow like I hoped…and it did thanks to Julia and Francis and the 113 questions they asked to get it right!

Julia Wei and Francis Arevalo are valued volunteers for the Canadian Network for International Surgery (CNIS). Our organization sends volunteer Canadian surgeons and obstetricians to 8 countries in Africa, teaching health practitioners life-saving skills. To be able to continue and expand our teaching programs in Africa, we are dependent upon help from volunteers to host public events and fundraising galas.

Francis and Julia were instrumental in organizing a fundraiser for CNIS. They also were part of the event team for our annual fundraising gala A Night in
Timbuktu. They work well as a team and it comes as no surprise to us that they are starting their own wedding business. Their youthful energy and enthusiasm is contagious, as they approach any task with a smile. As a team, they are keen, smart and hard working. We wish them good luck on their endeavor and hope they will keep volunteering for us for years to come, even as they run their successful wedding business!
